June 30, 2025In a move to improve its heart care services, Awali Hospital has added the Faros 360 — a compact and advanced heart rhythm monitoring device from the Finnish company Bittium — to its diagnostic toolkit.
The Faros 360 stands out for its lightweight, water-resistant design, and its ability to provide continuous, high-accuracy ECG recordings. It connects to a secure digital platform, allowing physicians to monitor patient data remotely with confidence and ease.
Installation and training were handled by Ernesto Celedonio, Medical Equipment Specialist at Skype Medical Equipment, who guided the cardiology team at Awali through how to use the device and its software effectively.
Dr. Syed Raza, Consultant Cardiologist at the hospital, shared his thoughts on the new addition: “Faros 360 gives us a much better chance to detect arrhythmias that might not appear during a short hospital stay. It helps us get the full picture while the patient goes about their daily life — comfortably and safely.”
Cardiac technician Noora Alhiddi also praised the hands-on session: “The training was very straightforward and helpful. We now feel confident using the device to provide our patients with better care.”
This update is part of Awali Hospital’s ongoing mission to stay ahead in cardiac diagnostics — by embracing technologies that are smart, reliable, and patient-friendly.
